On February 6, 2020, Qinhuangdao Baigong Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. donated RMB 10 million to the Hulong County Red Cross Society to support efforts to prevent and control the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.

Attending the donation ceremony were the principal leaders of the Lulong County Party Committee and County Government, as well as leaders from the Lulong County Red Cross Society and relevant administrative departments. General Manager Di Lin attended the ceremony on behalf of Baigong Steel Company and, on behalf of Chairman Mao Guohui and the company’s 2,600 employees, extended profound respect to all those working on the front lines of the epidemic response, and conveyed warm greetings to the people of the entire county.

Amid the ravages of the COVID‑19 pandemic, Baigong Steel, a pillar enterprise in Lulong County, demonstrated a strong sense of social responsibility and mission by donating RMB 10 million to support epidemic prevention and control efforts. This contribution underscores the company’s resolute stance and unwavering determination to join the county Party committee, the county government, and the people of the entire county in combating the pandemic.

Since the outbreak, Baigong Iron & Steel has attached great importance to the situation and responded swiftly. In accordance with the requirements and directives of the County Party Committee and the County Government, it promptly activated the Level-I response for major public health emergencies and immediately established a leading group for epidemic prevention and control. The company has taken proactive measures, mobilized all resources, implemented scientifically sound deployment, and adopted targeted strategies, standing united with the 420,000 residents of Lulong County to overcome these challenging times together.

To date, Baigong Steel has procured 6.5 tons of disinfectant, 200 sets of protective suits, 20 temperature‑measuring guns, and over 50,000 medical‑grade protective masks. The company has rigorously implemented its seven “100%” epidemic‑prevention measures, established five checkpoint stations for劝返 (turning back) travelers, maintained round‑the‑clock dynamic monitoring of both internal and external personnel and vehicles, and conducted scheduled disinfection at key locations throughout the plant, ensuring comprehensive coverage with no blind spots and resolutely preventing any outbreaks.
