“Centennial Tribute: Pioneering Excellence” — Company‑Organized Essay and Speech Contest Commemorating the Centenary of the Communist Party of China

In July, the light and colors shimmer; across the land, songs soar. This month nurtures red‑tinged hopes and brings glorious dreams to fruition. In this season of red, we adorn our homeland with waves of crimson flags; in this season of red, we celebrate with fiery passion the moving symphony of our times; and in this season of red, to the “July Red Melody” of the new era, we join together to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China!
On the afternoon of July 1, the company organized an essay and speech contest titled “A Centennial Tribute: Striving for Excellence and Pioneering Achievement.” Company leaders—Deputy General Managers Sun Yumei and Wang Yongsheng, Rolling Mill Plant Director Wang Chengli, Director of the Management Office Zheng Haixiang, and Deputy Minister of the Supervision and Audit Center Ma Xiaoquan—attended the event and served as judges. Also on the judging panel were Wang Liang, Director of the Power Workshop at the Ironmaking Plant; Guo Wenshuang, Shift Supervisor of the Oxygen Production Plant; and Zhang Guofang, Steam Turbine Operator at the Power Plant.
At the speech event, the contestants revisited the Party’s glorious journey, celebrated its great achievements, and inspired all employees to forge ahead with high spirits in the new era. Drawing on exemplary stories and real-life cases of corporate development and personal growth, they shared their insights into the relationship between enterprise advancement and individual development; recounted the pressures and motivations, as well as the sense of honor and aspirations they have experienced along the path of corporate progress; and showcased a positive, upward‑moving workplace culture and a vibrant, multifaceted professional life.
The contestants delivered impassioned speeches, earning continuous applause from the audience. After two and a half hours of intense competition, the event awarded one first prize, two second prizes, five third prizes, and twelve excellence awards. To the sound of cheerful music, the judges presented the awards to the participants.
At the event, Deputy General Managers Sun Yumei and Wang Yongsheng provided comprehensive feedback on the contestants’ performances and reflected on the Party’s century-long history. They highlighted the Party’s original aspiration and mission: to secure happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation. They encouraged all employees, under the leadership of the Chairman, to live up to their responsibilities, seize the prime of their lives, and work together to build a world-class enterprise, forging ahead with determination to create a glorious future for BaiGong!
