On the afternoon of April 15, a delegation led by officials from the LuLong County CPPCC convened at our company’s “CPPCC Home” to hold a meeting on the 2019 work summary and the 2020 work plan. CPPCC Chairman Fang Shikuan emphasized that we must review the key achievements of the CPPCC’s work in 2019, identify areas for improvement, and carefully formulate plans for 2020. He stressed the need to strengthen ideological and political development, firmly uphold the correct political direction, advance the building of consultative democracy, and contribute to high-quality economic and social development. Furthermore, he called for leveraging the CPPCC’s strengths, pooling its collective wisdom and resources, enhancing the competence of its members, and elevating the quality and efficiency of its work. In addition, it is essential to organize activities for CPPCC members, foster unity across all sectors, and consolidate public support; to further reinforce democratic oversight; and, with a focus on green development, to offer policy recommendations and constructive advice on the county’s work related to workplace safety.

Assistant to the Chairman Ji Wei stated: Under the wise leadership of CPPCC committees at all levels and the company’s management, Baigong Iron & Steel has effectively fulfilled its functions of political consultation, democratic oversight, and participation in state affairs. On the one hand, we remain committed to our core duties, demonstrating dedication, diligence, and hard work; on the other, as CPPCC members, we identify areas for improvement, intensify our learning, and continuously enhance our professional competence and operational capabilities. In doing so, we strive to live up to the expectations and trust placed in us by CPPCC leaders, company management, and our colleagues, contributing our efforts to the company’s growth and to the development of a beautiful Lulong.

During the meeting, Fang Shikuan, Chairman of the County CPPCC, presented certificates of honor to CPPCC members who had achieved outstanding results in their proposal‑handling work for 2019. He also urged all member activity groups to be proactive and enterprising, serve the overall interests, and conscientiously fulfill their functions of political consultation, democratic oversight, and participation in state affairs. With full political enthusiasm, high spirits, and a rigorous work style, they were encouraged to continue carrying out all duties assigned by the CPPCC and to make new contributions to the comprehensive development of a “strong coastal county and a beautiful Lulong” in the new era.
