On November 25, 2018, Qinhuangdao Baigong Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. successfully held its “First Workplace Etiquette Training”! Participants included staff from the Manager’s Office, cafeteria receptionists, drivers, clerical personnel from various plants and departments, as well as representatives from external service units such as the Finance Company, the Supply and Marketing Company, and the Human Resources and Corporate Management Department. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zheng Haixiang, Director of the Manager’s Office.
China is renowned worldwide as the “Land of Propriety,” where etiquette permeates every aspect of life. It not only showcases a person’s poise and charm but also reflects their inner culture and refinement. Regardless of your profession or position, etiquette is indispensable. Every employee serves as an ambassador for the company, and we should always keep in mind the importance of cultivating our personal qualities and striving for self-improvement. During the session, the instructor thoroughly explained a wide range of practical etiquette—covering personal professional image, proper sitting and standing postures, walking, governmental protocol, smile etiquette, introduction etiquette, handshake etiquette, business card etiquette, guiding etiquette, meeting etiquette, seating arrangements, and in‑vehicle etiquette—each closely tied to our daily work and life. Participants then engaged in hands-on practice. The course was both detailed and engaging, rigorous yet enjoyable, leaving everyone thoroughly entertained and deeply enriched. At the conclusion of the training, Guo Milin, a member of the company’s Supreme Management Committee; Li Changsong, Director of the Human Resources and Corporate Management Department; and Zheng Haixiang, Director of the Manager’s Office, presented certificates of completion to the participants and posed for a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
This training has shown us the admirable qualities of all our employees— their positive attitude and their diligence in learning. It has also reminded us that only by shifting our mindset, maintaining a proper outlook, and treating others with the utmost kindness can we earn their respect through our competence.
